I've been interested in hand tool work for decades and acquired an assortment of tools that were played with but not used until quite recently. These frames were made entirely with hand tools from trees on our property (the darker is apple, the other is spalted birch). One features a hand-cut bridle joint while the other is a splined mitre. There are other practices pieces that didn't turn out as well in our home but I've got the hang of it now.
